Earn while you learn!

The Danville Life Saving Crew is seeking compassionate and energetic team members to join us on our lifesaving mission to provide the best EMS and mobile healthcare possible. Do you love to help others and want to make a difference in your community? The best EMTs are compassionate, team players with strong communication skills who love to help others and solve problems. They have a heart to serve and want to make a difference in their community. And since no two days are the same in EMS, flexibility, and the ability to assess and act quickly are vital.

EMTs work alongside first responders from police and fire departments, as well as doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. EMS is 24/7, and shifts are typically 12 hours. Many of our EMTs continue their careers in emergency medicine in roles, including Critical Care Paramedic, Flight Paramedic, Instructor, Supervisor, or Executive Leadership. For others, it's an excellent pathway for different healthcare and public safety professions.

This year the DLSC / DATC is again partnering with the Va. Dept. of Labor & Industry and the Institute for Advanced Learning And Research to provide additional support and resources for instructors and students.
